Yennifer Valencia

Yennifer is a Colombian, bilingual (Spanish-speaking) therapist with years of clinical experience treating a wide range of mental health disorders. She specializes in supporting adolescents, young adults, and families.

Her professional background includes early childhood education, child development and crisis intervention, working as a preschool teacher and in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University and incorporates evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and client-centered approaches into her work. Yenni’s clinical style emphasizes meeting individuals where they are while creating a collaborative and supportive therapeutic space.

Yenni’s journey into mental health started with wanting to support her students, as well as witnessing and experiencing challenges within her community. She is passionate about working with the Spanish speaking population and is dedicated to providing culturally responsive therapy to support all individuals.

In her free time Yenni enjoys reading, playing video games and watching movies.
